Talia and João truly saved my life. When I was diagnosed, I faced a worst-case scenario, my doctors knew little about T1D, and I was told to wait six months for an endocrinologist. The advice I was given would have likely put me in the hospital. Thankfully, within four months, I found Talia and João, and I will forever be grateful. When we first connected, I was terrified to eat, had never been taught carb counting, had an A1C of 11, and genuinely believed my life at 27 was over. Through their incredible program, I learned how to take control of my health and not just live with T1D, but truly thrive. Today, my A1C is 5.7 with a 95% time in range. The level of care, compassion, and genuine love they’ve shown me has been nothing short of life-changing.
